The prerequisites are an account on the Casa del Libro online store to buy the ebooks and the Adobe Digital Editions (version 4.5 or above) installed on your workstation (Mac or PC) with a registered account.
step 1: buy online the ebook
buy an ebook on the online store and download the electronic version on your workstation – note that the downloaded electronic version of the ebook is in an ACSM format (ACSM stands for Adobe Content Server Message) and needs conversion (see step 2)
step 2: use Adobe Digital Editions
install and/or start the Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) application on your workstation and ensure the ebook reader has been authorised – add the downloaded electronic version in ACSM format to the ADE Library (select show ACSM format)
step 3: connect the vivlio ebook reader to your workstation with an USB cable (select connect to PC on the ebook reader)
step 4: once the ebook reader appears on the left menu of the Adobe Digital Editions Application, select the ebook in the ADE library, right-click on your mouse, and select copy to device (i.e. your ebook reader)
step 5: disconnect the ebook reader from your workstation and check if the ebook opens correctly on the vivlio ebook reader
